Abby is my cousin -- well, second-ish cousin?! Who knows. Our parents are cousins and we're their kids...so yeah. Anyways, her boyfriend of 3 years, Stuart, gave me a shout a few weeks ago and said he was going to propose (eekkk!) and wanted me to be there to capture it. DUH. Of course. I would be there in a heartbeat. And the place he was planning on doing it at perfectly fits this couple's relationship and personalities: Strange Donuts. It was gonna be amazing.
The proposal went off PERFECTLY. They walked in (Strange was already closed, but Abby didn't know that!), Abby says, "AWWW, they're out of donuts already!" And Stuart then directed her to the chalkboard and said, "Wait, they have a special donut, what does that say?" And then Abby freaked out. I popped up from behind the counter and started snapping away! It was ah-mazing. One of my favorite photo shoots to date!
I captured the entire proposal on camera (obviously), but also wore my Google Glass as well to get it on video too. Not the greatest (cause I was focused on snapping pics!), but you get the picture! The Strange Crew had a videographer there as well, so hopefully that footage will pop up sometime soon too!!
